CD & Album slip for ‘The Backbeats’. The classic rock covers band needed some artwork for their ‘Snippets’ album. It was an album of sample tracks that they could give away at gigs and other functions to promote the band for future events.
The Backbeats are 7 musicians with over 300 years combined experience of performing live shows, the members of which come from bands such as The Narcs, Beavershot, Tall Poppies, Swingshift, Landslide and The Shaggers to name a few. Their mission is to make sure you have the best function possible.

The band loved the idea of seeing themselves as caricatures on their album cover. This was my first time illustrating caricatures and both the band and I were very happy with the result. I made sure to have a little restraint when adapting their faces for these types of cartoons, as the idea of a caricature is to focus on distinctive features and exaggerate them. I was happy to be able to pull this off and not offend any of the band members, but still adapt their faces into comical illustrations.
